On behalf of myself and the founding members of the association, I would like to welcome you to the website of the Hungarian Aquaculture Technology and Innovation Platform (HUNATiP) Association.

Innovation is an increasingly important activity that is essential for aquaculture to remain sustainable and competitive in an increasingly complex world where economy facing unexpected challenges and social environment is also changing. The processes aimed at strengthening of aquaculture innovation in Hungary have developed in parallel with the European ones, during which several “innovation knowledge centers” have been established fish farming sector. These centers assist the implementation of R&D programs and the knowledge and technology transfer. However, the establishment of the Hungarian Aquaculture Technology and Innovation Platform (HUNATiP) Association can be considered a milestone, which in close cooperation with the European Aquaculture Technology and Innovation Platform (EATiP) contributes to the harmonization and coordination of Hungarian aquaculture innovation programs and independently carries out innovation activities. In addition to provide information on the organization, operation and programs of the association on the HUNATiP website, we continuously inform stakeholders about domestic and international events in aquaculture innovation, hoping to facilitate communication between innovation program participants and contribute to the required increase in innovation skills.
